Winter Weather Advisory
Statement as of 9:18 PM MST on March 02, 2015

... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 6 PM MST
Tuesday...

A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 6 PM MST
Tuesday.

* Summary and timing... north winds will increase this evening and
snow will become more widespread late this evening. Light to
moderate snow will continue overnight into Tuesday morning. Light
snow will persist through Tuesday afternoon.

* Snow accumulations... 1 to 3 inches in most areas with 3 to 6
inches possible in the upper Nowood Valley and south of
Thermopolis. Areas of northeast Bighorn County will receive
the least amount of snow with and inch or less expected.

* Wind and visibility... north wind of 20 to 35 mph. Wind gusts
will be strongest near Cowley and in the absarokas with speeds
over 55 mph possible overnight and into early Tuesday morning.
Wind gusts to 40 mph will be possible elsewhere into Tuesday
afternoon. Periods of moderate snow and blowing snow will drop
visibility below one mile for several hours tonight into
Tuesday. Wind chills will be near 20 below zero at times.

* Impacts... snowfall will create snow packed roadways resulting
in difficult travel. Windy conditions will create low
visibility and low wind chills tonight and Tuesday which could
be deadly to Newborn livestock and could cause frost bite to
humans and animals who are left exposed to the conditions for
an extended period of time.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow and blowing
snow will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for slippery
roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while driving.

The latest Road conditions provided by the Wyoming Department of
Transportation are available by calling 5-1-1 or on the internet
