Winter Storm Watch
Statement as of 2:26 AM MST on March 01, 2015

... Winter Storm Watch in effect from late tonight through Tuesday
afternoon...

The National Weather Service in Riverton has issued a Winter
Storm Watch... which is in effect from late tonight through
Tuesday afternoon.

* Summary and timing... snowfall will begin across the area late
tonight... with snowfall intensifying through Monday night
potentially becoming heavy at times. Snowfall should weaken
through Tuesday afternoon. Areas south of Interstate 80 look to
experience the greatest snowfall amounts as a result of the
system.

* Snow accumulations... 4 to 8 inches possible with higher amounts
favorable south of Interstate 80.

* Wind and visibility... stronger wind of 15 to 20 mph with gusts
up to 30 mph expected Tuesday afternoon potentially creating
reduced visibility due to blowing and drifting snow.

* Impacts... snowfall may create snow packed roadways resulting in
increased traveling difficulty... including Interstate 80 through
Sweetwater County.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Remember... a Winter Storm Watch means conditions are favorable
for hazardous winter weather in and close to the watch area.

The latest Road conditions provided by the Wyoming Department of
Transportation are available by calling 5-1-1 or on the internet
