Areal Flood Warning
Statement as of 8:18 PM MDT on May 26, 2015

... A Flood Warning remains in effect until 230 PM MDT Thursday for
southeastern Sheridan County...

Significant flooding is expected all along the Powder River in
southeastern Sheridan County through Thursday. Based on the latest
information... the river is now expected to crest between 10 and 12
feet at Arvada Wednesday afternoon. This is a bit lower than earlier
forecast because more water left the river channel upstream of
Sheridan County than originally anticipated.

The river will still be higher than it has in many years. Expect it
to spill out of its banks in places... flooding farmland and possibly
causing property damage.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Move cattle and farm equipment to higher ground immediately. Prepare
for rapidly rising water and flooding near the Powder River. Do not
attempt to travel across flooded roads. Find alternate routes.
