Areal Flood Advisory
Statement as of 6:46 AM MDT on May 29, 2015

... The Flood Advisory for minor flooding in poor drainage areas
remains in effect until 500 PM MDT Friday for south central Big Horn
and western Sheridan counties...

At 645 am MDT... creeks and streams around the Bighorn Mountains and
nearby foothills were rising due to overnight rainfall. This
includes little Goose Creek at Big Horn... which was at moderate
flood stage and continuing to rise.

Creeks and streams will continue rising today and some will spill
out of their banks and into low lying areas... resulting in localized
flooding today.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Do not attempt to travel across flooded roads. Find alternate
routes. It takes only a few inches of swiftly flowing water to carry
vehicles away.
