Areal Flood Warning
Statement as of 9:43 AM MDT on May 27, 2015

... A Flood Warning remains in effect until 230 PM MDT Thursday for
southeastern Sheridan County...

Lowland flooding is expected all along the Powder River in
southeastern Sheridan County through Thursday. The river is expected
to crest between 10 and 12 feet at Arvada this afternoon. A steady
fall is expected to occur through the day on Thursday with flooding
slowly subsiding.

The river will be higher than it has in many years. Expect the river
to be out of its banks in places... flooding farmland and possibly
causing property damage.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Move cattle and farm equipment to higher ground. Prepare for the
rising water and flooding near the Powder River. Do not attempt to
travel across flooded roads. Find alternate routes.
