Winter Storm Warning
Statement as of 2:43 AM MST on March 03, 2015

... Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 6 PM MST this
evening...

A Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 6 PM MST this
evening.

* Summary and timing... occasional moderate to heavy snow will
continue through this afternoon. Snowfall should taper off this
evening.

* Snow accumulations... 5 to 7 inches with up to 9 inches south of
Interstate 80.

* Wind and visibility... northeast wind 15 to 20 mph with gusts to
30 mph today. Visibility of one- half mile or less at times in
snow and blowing snow.

* Impacts... snowfall may create snow packed roadways resulting in
increased traveling difficulty... including Interstate 80 through
Sweetwater County. Interstate 80 has already experienced
closures this morning. Windy conditions will create low
visibility and low wind chills today which could be deadly to
Newborn livestock and could cause frost bite to humans and
animals who are left exposed to the conditions for an extended
period of time.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow means severe winter weather
conditions are expected or occurring. Significant amounts of
snow are forecast that will make travel dangerous. Only travel in
an emergency. If you must travel... keep an extra flashlight...
food... and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.

The latest Road conditions provided by the Wyoming Department of
Transportation are available by calling 5-1-1 or on the internet
