west of Highway 789. Highway 789 is usually sand leveed by wydot on
the south side of the river. The Highway remains open. Extensive
agricultural flooding downstream of Riverton near the black bridge
and Hidden Valley area. Water begins to encroach homes along the
right bank..
* impact... at 9.0 feet... flood stage. Minor flooding along the right
and left banks upstream of the Highway 789 bridge. Agricultural
flooding downstream of Riverton near the black bridge and Hidden

The National Weather Service in riw/Riverton has issued a

* small stream Flood Advisory for poor drainage areas for...
snowmelt in...
central Fremont County in central Wyoming...

* until 930 PM MDT Tuesday

* at 329 PM MDT... the public reported flooding caused by snowmelt
along the North Fork of the popo agie River North of Lander on 2nd
street. Small stream flooding is possible on squaw creek and
Baldwin creek... along with irrigation ditches from Milford to the
mouth of the North Fork of the popo agie where it flows into the
Middle Fork of the popo agie. Overflowing poor drainage areas will
result in minor flooding.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Milford.

This includes the following streams and drainages... North Fork popo
agie river... Baldwin creek... squaw creek... and North Fork ditch.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Excessive snowmelt runoff will cause flooding of small creeks and
streams... as well as farm and country roads. Do not attempt to
travel across flooded roads. Find alternate routes.

Do not drive your vehicle into areas where the water covers the
roadway. The water depth may be too great to allow your car to cross
safely. Move to higher ground.
