Areal Flood Advisory
Statement as of 6:17 PM MDT on July 07, 2015

The National Weather Service in Riverton has issued a

* small stream Flood Advisory for rapid rises for...
northeastern Washakie County in central Wyoming...
southeastern Big Horn County in central Wyoming...

* until 915 PM MDT

* at 611 PM MDT... Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This could cause small stream flooding across
portions of northeast Washakie and southeast Big Horn
counties... east of a Manderson to Worland line.

* Locations of greatest concern are areas impacted by the sand
and big Cottonwood Creek drainages as well as hidden dome draw.
Also this small stream flooding could potentially impact Highway
16 between Worland and Ten Sleep as well as Highway 47 between Ten
Sleep and Highway 31.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams... as well as farm and country roads. Do not
attempt to travel across flooded roads. Find alternate routes.
