Above 9500 feet... periods of rain showers will change to a rain snow
mix then to all snow after midnight tonight across the Western
Mountain ranges. Snow levels will drop from 9500 feet to around 7500
feet by morning. Heaviest period of snowfall at higher elevations is
expected to occur between a couple of hours before midnight to a
couple of hours after midnight... with periods of light snow
continuing through the the day Saturday. 24 hour snow totals ending
by Saturday evening will range from 1 to 5 inches depending on aspect
and elevation... with localized areas receiving up to eight inches of
new snow across the highest peaks and ridges.
