the Wind River at Riverton.
* Until Thursday afternoon... or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 4:15 PM Sunday the stage was 9.2 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 9.0 feet.
* Impact... at 10.9 feet... record stage..
* impact... at 10.8 feet... continous monitoring/repair of levees is
necessary. Occupied Mobile homes northeast of Gas Hills Road
Junction are still dry. Highway 789 is still open..
* impact... at 10.0 feet... abondoned Mobile homes are under 2-3 ft of
water. Mobile homes to the east are still protected by dirt and
sandbag levees. Hwy 789 is usually sand leveed by wydot on the
north side of the river. The Highway remains open..
* impact... at 9.0 feet... flood stage. The Old Channel... closest to
Highway 789 may break through the temporary levees. Abandoned moble
homes will begin to flood. Other temporary levees protecting
several Mobile homes to the east are monitored. Minor flooding
along the right bank upstream of Highway 789 bridge..
* impact... at 8.0 feet... bankfull stage..
* flood history... this crest compares to a previous crest of 9.2 feet
on Jul 4 1998.
