Special Statement
Statement as of 4:51 AM MDT on March 28, 2015

... Gusty wind and unseasonably warm temperatures today...

A cold front will approach western Wyoming today. This will cause an
increase of west wind by late morning through the afternoon. Wind
speeds in the Cody foothills will be 25 to 35 mph with gusts to
around 45 mph. There could be some wind gusts to near 60 mph west of
Clark. Wind speeds in the mountains will be 30 to 40 mph with gusts
of 50 to 60 mph. Be prepared for gusty and erratic wind if you plan
to travel over Chief Joseph Pass or along State Highway 120 through
Park County.

The combination of the unseasonably warm temperatures and gusty wind
will create elevated fire concerns. Therefore... residents are advised
not to conduct any agricultural burning today. Any fire could rapidly
spread through fine fuels such as grasses and small vegetation.
