... Flash Flood Warning remains in effect for north central Johnson
County until 300 am MDT Monday...

At 833 PM MDT... National Weather Service Doppler radar indicated an
area of moderate rainfall across the warned area. Some minor field
flooding is occurring. Clear Creek river gage near Buffalo was
rising and was within a foot of flood stage and still slowly
rising.

Moderate rain continues to fall across the warned area. Runoff from
this excessive rainfall may cause flash flooding to occur. Some
locations that may experience flooding include... Buffalo... Gilead
burn scar... i90 Exit 47... i90 Exit 51... i90 Exit 53... i90 mile
marker 60... jct i90 and i25... Lake de Smet... Saddlestring and U.S.
Hwy 16 mile marker 80.

Rainfall of 2 to 2.5 inches has been observed and additional rainfall
of 0.5 to 1.0 inches is possible before midnight tonight.

This includes the following streams and drainages... Boxelder
creek... Piney Creek... Shell Creek... Clear Creek... and Rock Creek.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Excessive runoff from this storm will cause flooding of small creeks
and streams... highways and underpasses. Additionally... country roads
and farmlands along the banks of creeks... streams and other low lying
areas are also subject to flooding.

Do not drive your vehicle into areas where the water covers the
roadway. The water depth may be too great to allow your car to cross
safely.

Report flooding to the nearest law enforcement agency so that they
may take appropriate action to close flooded roadways. They will
relay your report to the National Weather Service in Riverton.

The National Weather Service in Riverton has issued a

* Flood Warning for...
south central Johnson County in north central Wyoming...

* until 800 PM MDT Monday

* at 800 PM MDT... emergency management reported flooding across the
warned area. Flooding was occurring in Barnum and Kaycee along
the Middle Fork of the Powder River. The Middle Fork of the
Powder River at Kaycee was at 8.9 feet or nearly two feet above
flood stage. Flood state is 7.0 feet. The river crested at 9.5
feet at 5 PM.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include... Kaycee...
Fort Reno historical site... i25 exit 246... i25 exit 249...
Mayoworth... state Hwy 191 mile marker 10 and state Hwy 192 mile
marker 10.

This includes Interstate 25 in Wyoming between mile markers 245 and
264.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Additional rainfall amounts of one-quarter to one-half inch are
possible in the warned area tonight.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding. If flash flooding is observed act quickly. Do
not enter the water. Turn around and move up to higher ground to
escape flood waters. Do not stay in areas subject to flooding when
water begins rising.

The National Weather Service in Riverton has issued a

* Flood Warning for
the Powder River at Sussex.
* From late tonight to Tuesday morning.
* Forecast... rise above flood stage by after midnight tonight and
continue to rise to near 11.5 feet by early Monday afternoon. The river will
fall below flood stage by Tuesday morning.
* The stage will crest around 11.5 feet at tomorrow early afternoon.
* The stage will fall below flood stage at Tuesday morning.
