... A bitter cold airmass will continue across the region tonight
and through much of the rest of the week...
An Arctic airmass will remain entrenched through the weekend with
highs only in the single digits... above and below zero... and low
temperatures mostly from 10 to 20 degrees below zero. Though wind
will remain generally weak overnight... any wind will make
temperatures feel even more bitter. If you plan to go outdoors...
make sure you dress in multiple layers with the minimal amount of
skin exposed. This will help to reduce your risk of frostbite.
Additionally... consider your pets and outdoor animals and provide
them with the comforts they may need during this strong cold snap. If
you are traveling... ensure you are prepared by keeping an emergency
kit in your vehicle.
