Winter Storm Warning
Statement as of 3:33 PM MST on November 25, 2015

... Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 5 PM MST

* timing... snow and wind will continue today and the snow will
become heavy at times tonight. Snow will continue through
Thanksgiving day. Snowfall rates up to an inch per hour are
expected at times tonight.

* Snowfall... 8 to 12 inches for much of the area... including
Riverton and Lander... with generally 5 to 7 inches in the
northern part of the Basin. One to over two inches of snow has
already been reported between Riverton and Lander as of 3 PM
this afternoon with areas of moderate snow falling.

* Wind and visibility... north wind 15 to 25 mph with gusts to 35
mph in the north half of the Wind River basin through tonight.
The combination of snow and areas of brisk wind will reduce
the visibility to under one half mile at times in snow and
blowing snow.

* Main impact... roads will be slick and snow-packed and
visibilities will be sharply reduced at times. Slow down and
arrive safely at your destination. Check the latest Road

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow means severe winter weather
conditions are expected or occurring. Significant amounts of snow
are forecast that will make travel dangerous. Only travel in an
emergency. If you must travel... keep an extra flashlight...
food... and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.
