... NOAA Weather Radio station kjy-86 in South Boston Virginia will test a new frequency beginning July 8...
The National Weather Service will change the frequency of the NOAA Weather Radio station kjy-86 in Halifax County Virginia from 162.450 mhz to 162.525 mhz at noon Wednesday July 8 until noon Saturday August 8.
The purpose of this test is to determine if this different frequency will provide better service to our users. It is imperative that all listeners... radio stations... and other users of the NOAA Weather Radio broadcast in Halifax County change their NOAA Weather Radio frequency from 162.450 mhz to 162.525 mhz on Wednesday July 8... to receive the broadcast of weather information from the National Weather Service... including watches... warnings and advisories.
It is also vital that Halifax County NOAA Weather Radio listeners provide feedback during this test... including the quality of the broadcast... to the contact provided. Your assistance is greatly appreciated during this test.
