* Period of most intense snow... tonight into Thursday morning.

* Snow ending... Thursday afternoon.

* Impacts... hazardous travel conditions are expected due to
reduced visibility along with snow accumulation.

* Winds... northwest 5 to 10 mph with gusts up to 20 mph.

The National Weather Service in Pittsburgh has issued a

* Flood Warning for...
Marion County in northern West Virginia...

* until 145 PM EST

* at 742 am EST... emergency management reported flooding due to ice
jams.

Flooding has been reported near Mannington and Plum Run. Widespread
roads have been flooded from water rising out of their banks due to
ice jams. Some houses are being threatened.

A Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or has been reported.
All interested parties should take necessary precautions immediately.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Most flood deaths occur in automobiles. Never drive your vehicle into
areas where water covers the Road. Floodwater usually is deeper than
it appears. Just one foot of flowing water is powerful enough to
sweep vehicles off the Road.

The Flood Watch continues for

* portions of western Maryland... east central Ohio... southwest
Pennsylvania and West Virginia... including the following
areas... in western Maryland... Garrett. In east central Ohio...
Belmont... Guernsey... Harrison... Jefferson OH... Monroe...
Muskingum and Noble. In southwest Pennsylvania... Allegheny...
Fayette... Fayette ridges... Greene... Washington... Westmoreland
and Westmoreland ridges. In West Virginia... Brooke... Hancock...
   Marion... Marshall... Monongalia... Ohio... Preston... Tucker and
Wetzel.

* Until 7 PM EST this evening

* up to one half inch of additional rain is possible into early
