Weather Summary
Weather Underground Forecast for Thursday, February 09, 2012.

A disturbance dropping southeastward across the Great Basin will reach the southern Rockies on Thursday. The system will kick up light snow showers in the Central and Southern Rockies. Snow accumulation is expected to fairly light, with only an inch or two at best over the San Juans and

southern Sangres mountains. Meanwhile, another disturbance moving out of northeastern Mexico will move into Texas. Elsewhere in the West, a warm front will move through western Washington, bringing light showers to the Pacific Northwest through the morning. Offshore flow and ridging could give clearing and

warmer temperature to the region by the afternoon.

In the East, a cold front from southern Canada will drop into the Great Lakes and Central Plains during the day. This system will kick up snow showers in parts of the Upper Great Lakes, primarily in northern Michigan. Elsewhere, high pressure builds over the Eastern Valleys with generally calm and dry weather conditions.
