Here is a Special Weather Statement from the National Weather
Very dry conditions are expected today across most of West
Virginia... creating an elevated wildfire danger.
Open burning of any type is considered dangerous at this
time... and outdoor burning should be avoided. In addition... be
very careful of heat and Sparks while operating any equipment
outdoors... and avoid smoking in wildland areas.
West Virginia state law prohibits burning between the months of
March 1st through may 31st between the hours of 7 am to 5 PM.
If a wildfire should occur... call 911.
