The National Weather Service in Green Bay has issued a Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow... which is in effect from 9 PM this evening to 6 PM CST Friday. The Winter Storm Watch is no longer in effect.
* Periods of snow... mixed with sleet at times... will develop this evening... then continue periodically through Christmas day. The heaviest snow is expected to fall late Thursday afternoon and Thursday night.
* Total snow accumulations of 8 to 12 inches are expected over a prolonged period ending on Christmas day. Some minor sleet accumulations are also possible.
* Roads will become slippery tonight... with hazardous travel conditions likely continuing into Christmas day.
