Statement as of 5:07 PM EDT on October 6, 2008 National Weather Service Milwaukee/Sullivan WI 405 PM Mon Oct 6 2008 ... Change of flood stage at Baraboo River-West Baraboo river gauging station... Effective October 10 2008... the flood stage for the Baraboo river in West Baraboo, WI will change from 12 feet to 9 feet. The moderate and major flood stages will also change. The details are below.. Current stages at Baraboo River-West baraboo: bankfull stage 7 feet flood stage 12 feet moderate flood stage 14 feet major flood stage 16 feet Effective October 10... the stages listed below will take effect: bankfull stage 7 feet flood stage 9 feet moderate flood stage 10.5 feet major flood stage 12.5 feet. The changes were made in coordination with the Sauk County emergency management office based on the observed flooding effects of the June flooding in the Baraboo area.
