Areas across southwestern Wisconsin have begun to note a transition from light rain to light snow...mainly northwest of a Darlington...to Madison...to Beaver Dam line. As this activity progresses to the east through the late evening hours...brief periods of mixed rain and snow can be expected before completely transitioning to light snow. Counties in south central Wisconsin can expect the change over by 9 PM...with the counties along Lake Michigan seeing the transition by midnight tonight. The mix of rain and snow will lead to slippery Road conditions. Please drive with caution.

Flood Warning
Statement as of 4:21 PM CDT on March 19, 2010
The Flood Warning continues for
the Fox River near New Munster.
* At 4:00 PM Friday the stage was 10.5 feet.
* Flood stage is 10.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will continue to fall to below flood stage by
tomorrow evening.
* Impact... at 10.5 feet... water is near some homes along Highway W in
the Silver Lake area of Kenosha County.
River forecasts are available for some but not all river gaging
locations. The 7 day river forecast takes into account past
precipitation... soil moisture conditions etc..and predicted
future 24 hour basin-average precipitation.
