generated by the NWS... and possibly forwarded by other agencies or
entities... we indicated that 301.8 inches of snow fell in Hurley
/Iron co./ During the 1996-97 winter season.

The 301.8 inches is incorrect... it should have been 295.4 inches.

If you read or hear that 301.8 inches fell... it is incorrect... make
it 295.4 inches.

The 295.4 inches of snow that fell in Hurley /Iron co./ During the
winter of 1996-97 is the greatest seasonal snowfall total recorded
in Wisconsin.
