Statement as of 4:21 AM CDT on April 16, 2014

...Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 7 am CDT Thursday...

* light to moderate snow will be falling across the area for the morning commute and will then continue for the remainder of the morning. The snow will change over to light rain this afternoon and back to snow tonight.

* Accumulations up to 2 inches are expected this morning with another 1 to 3 inches tonight. Storm total accumulations of 2 to 5 inches expected...with most of this along and north of State Highway 29.

* Slipper roads should be expected this morning and again overnight.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that periods of snow will cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow covered roads and limited visibilities...and use caution while driving. The latest Road conditions for the state you are calling from can be obtained by calling 5 1 1.
