a record high temperature of 86 degrees was set at Seattle WA WFO today. This breaks the old record of 79 set in 2007.

... Washington precipitation summary for the month of June...
June was very dry for most of Washington... especially the west side.
For western Washington... the percentage of normal precipitation
Ranged from just 18 for the Puget Sound lowlands to 52 for the west
Cascade foothills. The greatest amount of precipitation reported at
Climate stations for the foothills and mountains... coasts... and
Interior lowlands was 2.85 inches at Cedar Lake... 1.99 inches at
Grayland... and 1.26 inches at Battle Ground respectively.
For eastern Washington... the percentage of normal precipitation
Ranged from 43 for the Okanogan region to 117 for the northeast
Region. The greatest amount of precipitation recorded at climate
Stations for the mountains and lowlands was 1.20 inches at Pullman
And 2.35 inches at Republic respectively.
The outlook for July and beyond... the outlook for the next two weeks
Is for near normal precipitation. For the entire month of July the
Outlook is for greater chance of below normal precipitation. The
Outlook for the period July through September is for below normal
Precipitation except for the northwest corner which is for greater
Chance of below normal precipitation.
