For the east side.


November 2009 was a wet and wild one for western Washington with

Some sites breaking into their top ten wettest novembers... and a

Couple into their top ten wettest months of all time. November 2009

Reached the number 2 spot for wettest November at both Quillayute

And Hoquiam. Sea-tac managed to tie their number Ten Spot by getting

Exactly 0.20 inches of precipitation on the 30th. The Seattle WFO at

Sanpoint reached number 4 for their wettest November.


For western Washington... the percentage of normal precipitation

Ranged from 118 for the Cascades to 201 for the Olympics. The

Greatest amount of precipitation recorded at climate stations for the

Mountains and foothills... coasts... and interior lowlands was 39.15

Inches at Hoh rs... 26.55 inches at Quillayute... and 12.13 inches at

Centralia respectively.


For eastern Washington... the percentage of normal precipitation

Ranged widely from 43 for the Central Basin to 87 for the North East

Region. The greatest amount of precipitation recorded at climate

Stations for the mountains and foothills and The Lowlands was 9.23

Inches at Mt Adams and 4.08 inches at Newport respectively.
