Areal Flood Advisory
Statement as of 6:13 PM PDT on June 02, 2015

... The small stream Flood Advisory remains in effect until 1115 PM
PDT Tuesday for northern Ferry and northeastern Okanogan counties...

Updated to remove portions of western Okanogan County including the Carlton
complex burn scar.

At 608 PM PDT... trained weather spotters reported heavy rain and
minor flooding on West Lake Road in Oroville. There have also been
reports of some Road washouts in Okanogan County. Light to moderate
rain will continue to fall across northern Okanogan and northern
Ferry counties through this evening. The ground is already saturated
from recent thunderstorms and it will take little additional rainfall
to cause local flooding.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Oroville... Sherman Pass... Republic... Tonasket... Loomis... Danville...
Malo... Havillah... Molson... Toroda... Lost Lake Campground... Curlew
Lake State Park... Lake Ellen campground... Wauconda... Nighthawk...
Boyds... Ellisforde... Bonaparte Lake campground... Davis Lake and
Chesaw.

An additional four tenths of rainfall is possible over the area. This additional
rain will make minor flooding.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams... as well as farm and country roads. Do not
attempt to travel across flooded roads. Find alternate routes.
