Special Statement
Statement as of 3:54 PM PDT on September 01, 2015

... Several inches of snow will fall in the mountains above
5500 feet Wednesday through Thursday...

The snow level will be around 5500 to 6000 feet Wednesday through
Thursday... as an unseasonably deep upper level trough moves over
the Pacific northwest. Showers are likely both days and the snow
showers above 5500 feet could produce locally up to 6 inches of
new snow over those higher elevations. The best chance of higher
elevation snow snowers will be over the north Cascades.

This is a rather cold weather system for the end of Summer so back
country travellers should be prepared for unusually early Fall-
like weather.
