Special Statement
Statement as of 2:54 PM PST on March 01, 2015

... Much colder low temperatures expected over the next several
nights...

Low temperatures Monday morning will be a somewhat warmer due to
cloud cover... but Tuesday morning through Thursday morning are
expected to again be in the teens and twenties area wide. At the
same time... single digits will be possible in the mountains and
normally colder plateaus and higher valleys. Tuesday and Wednesday
nights will be the coldest. The coldest low temperatures will be
about 10 to 20 degrees below normal for this time of year... and
several locations have not seen temperatures this cold since early
January.

Any early season vegetation that may have begun to grow will be
in danger of being damaged during this period. If you can... move
any sensitive vegetation indoors away from the cold... or protect
it the best you can. If you must be outside overnight or during
the early morning hours be sure to be prepared for the colder
temperatures and dress warmly. During the afternoon hours each
day temperatures are expected to recover nicely to near seasonal
levels.
