A Wind Advisory remains in effect from 9 am to 5 PM PDT Tuesday.
Sustained west winds of 25 to 30 mph will develop by late morning
over much of central and eastern Washington. By early afternoon...
wind gusts of 40 mph will be possible from Wenatchee and Moses
Lake to Pullman and Spokane. The windiest location will likely be
over the higher elevations of the Waterville Plateau. Elevations
above 2500 feet in the Mansfield and Waterville areas could have
wind gusts in excess of 45 mph Tuesday afternoon. Winds will
subside Tuesday evening.
A Wind Advisory means that winds of 30 to 40 mph are expected.
Winds this strong can make driving difficult... especially for high
profile vehicles. Take action to secure trash cans... lawn
furniture... and other loose or lightweight outdoor objects.
Boaters should use extreme caution if venturing onto lakes and
rivers. Winds will make open waters rough and hazardous. Stay
close to shore or around protected areas.
