Dense Fog Advisory
Statement as of 7:05 PM PST on November 12, 2009
... Dense fog advisory in effect until 7 am PST Friday...
The National Weather Service in Spokane has issued a dense fog
advisory... which is in effect until 7 am PST Friday for the Moses
Lake area... upper Columbia Basin and Spokane area.
Dense fog has developed this evening across portions of central
and eastern Washington. Moses Lake... Warden... Creston and
Fairchild Air Force Base have reported visibilities of a quarter mile
or less. Visibilities will remain a quarter mile or less through
the night. For the Spokane vicinity... the area of concern is the West
Plains including Airway Heights.
With the onset of snow in the morning visibilities will increase
from west to east.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A dense fog advisory means visibilities will frequently be
reduced to less than one quarter mile. If driving... slow down...
use your headlights... and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.
This includes the following locations... Moses Lake... Ephrata...
Othello... Quincy... Ritzville... Grand Coulee... Odessa... Wilbur...
Coulee City... Cheney... Davenport.
