... Strong to isolated severe thunderstorms are possible this
afternoon and early this evening...

Isolated showers and thunderstorms developing across central New
York state at 1220 PM are expected to gradually expand in
coverage and intensity as they spread northeastward into the
northern Adirondacks and into western Vermont during the mid to
late afternoon hours.

With the scattered thunderstorms... localized damaging
winds... heavy downpours... and dangerous cloud-to-ground lightning
are expected to be the primary threats between 2 and 7 PM today.

If you have outdoor plans... keep an eye to the sky. Seek shelter
indoors if threatening weather approaches. Stay tuned to the
National Weather Service or your local media outlet for further
details... including possible warnings... as thunderstorms intensify
