Freezing Rain Advisory
Statement as of 8:47 AM EST on November 14, 2009
... Freezing Rain Advisory in effect until 11 am EST this
morning...
The National Weather Service in Burlington has issued a Freezing
Rain Advisory across low lying areas of the Northeast Kingdom and
eastern Franklin County of Vermont. The Freezing Rain Advisory is in
effect until 11 am EST this morning.
Freezing rain accumulation of less than one tenth of an inch can
be expected through 11 am this morning. Bridges and other elevated
services will be most prone to ice accumulation.
Law enforcement has noted that Road surfaces are slick.
After 11 am this morning temperatures in low lying areas will warm
to above freezing. At this time freezing rain will change to all
rain.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A Freezing Rain Advisory means that periods of freezing rain or
freezing drizzle will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
slippery roads. Slow down and use caution while driving.

weather situation.
