Light to moderate rain has redeveloped across central Vermont and the eastern Adirondacks. Rainfall intensity will increase this morning...and additional rainfall totals up to an inch are possible by noon.

Today
Rain with a chance of thunderstorms. Some thunderstorms may produce gusty winds. Rain may be heavy at times. Highs in the mid 70s. South winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 90 percent.
Mostly cloudy. Showers likely with a chance of thunderstorms until midnight...then partly cloudy with a chance of showers after midnight. Lows around 60. Southeast winds around 10 mph until midnight...becoming light and variable. Chance of rain 70 percent.
Friday
Partly sunny. Highs in the upper 70s. Southwest winds around 10 mph in the morning...becoming light and variable.
Partly cloudy. Lows around 60. Light and variable winds.
Saturday
Partly sunny in the morning...then becoming mostly cloudy. A chance of showers with a chance of thunderstorms in the afternoon. Highs in the mid 80s. South winds around 10 mph. Chance of rain 40 percent.

The Flood Watch is now in effect for
* the northern Adirondacks of New York... the entire Champlain Valley... and the remainder of Vermont.
* Through Friday morning.
* Rainfall will be moderate to heavy at times across much of northern New York and Vermont today. Thunderstorms will also be possible... and produce locally heavier rainfall. Storm total rainfall amounts of 2 to 4 inches are forecast... with isolated amounts to 5 inches. Rain will taper off overnight tonight... but flood effects could linger into Friday morning.
* Rainfall over the previous week has saturated soils and increased the water levels in rivers and streams. Additional runoff from todays rainfall will increase the flood threat across a good portion of the north country.
A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding. You should monitor later forecasts... and those living in areas prone to flooding... should be prepared to take action should flooding develop.
