At 820 PM...National Weather Service radar continued to indicate widespread moderate...to occasionally heavy rain associated with Tropical Storm Hanna falling across Rutland...Windsor...and Orange counties in south central Vermont. Expect moderate to occasionally heavy rainfall to continue across these areas through midnight...before tapering off during the overnight hours as Hanna pushes northeastward and away from the region. Additional rainfall should average between one quarter and three quarters of an inch during this time frame...with scattered heavier totals in excess of one inch possible across the southern portions of Rutland and Windsor counties. The rainfall will produce reduced visibilities and considerable ponding of water on area roads. Thus motorists are advised to use caution when traveling in these areas tonight.
