... Freeze warning remains in effect from midnight tonight to 8 am
EDT Saturday...

* locations... western and southern Adirondacks... Mohawk and
Schoharie valleys... helderbergs... eastern Catskills... Lake
George Saratoga region... northern and central Taconics...
southern Vermont... and the Berkshires.

* Timing... late tonight into early Saturday morning.

* Temperatures... in the upper 20s to lower 30s.

* Impacts... freezing temperatures and widespread frost will
likely result in damage to tender vegetation unless protective
measures are taken.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A freeze warning means sub-freezing temperatures are imminent or
highly likely. These conditions will kill crops and other
sensitive vegetation.

... Elevated fire weather risk across Massachusetts and southern
Vermont Saturday...

A dry airmass has overspread western New England and will
remain through Saturday. A gusty west to northwest wind of 15 to
25 mph are expected... mainly Saturday afternoon. Minimum relative
humidities will dip to between 20 to 30 percent during Saturday
afternoon.

With the lack of appreciable rainfall... local fire weather
officials have advised of an elevated fire spread potential due to
the dry and windy conditions forecast Saturday.
