The National Weather Service in San Juan has cancelled the high surf advisory.
Latest 41043 buoy data shows approximately 6 foot wave heights combined with 11 second dominant wave periods... which will keep seas rough along the northern coastlines of both Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. However... these rough seas are expected to relax throughout the day. Since the data readings indicate borderline high surf advisory conditions... and with the expected drop in seas later this afternoon... the high surf advisory has been cancelled.
While sea criteria for advisory statements continue to decrease... beach goers and property owners along the shore however are urged to remain cautious as seas remain rough for the next few hours.
