Coastal Flood Advisory
Statement as of 12:44 PM EST on November 14, 2009
... Coastal Flood Advisory in effect until noon EST Sunday... ... Coastal Flood Warning is cancelled... The National Weather Service in Wakefield has issued a coastal Flood Advisory... which is in effect until noon EST Sunday. The coastal Flood Warning has been cancelled. This mornings high tide cycles resulted in moderate flooding. This next high tide will occur at 719 PM at Gloucester... at Windmill Point and 1130 PM at Lewisetta. Water levels referenced to mean lower low water are expected to be from 4.5 to 4.9 feet at Gloucester... and 3.0 to 3.4 feet at Windmill Point and 3.4 to 3.9 feet at Lewisetta. These levels will result in minor to near moderate flooding. Tidal anomalies will continue to trend down tonight... but minor flooding will still be possible around the time of high tide on Sunday. Minor flooding will still be possible around the time of high tide again Sunday morning. Precautionary/preparedness actions... A coastal Flood Advisory indicates that onshore winds and tides will combine to generate flooding of low areas along the shore.
