Coastal Flood Advisory
Statement as of 9:56 AM EST on November 15, 2009
... Coastal Flood Advisory remains in effect until 2 PM EST this
afternoon...
A coastal Flood Advisory remains in effect until 2 PM EST this
afternoon.
High tide has already occurred or is about to occur at Gloucester
and Windmill Point... with next high tide occurring around noon at
Lewisetta. Water levels referenced to mean lower low water are
expected to be from 4.5 to 4.9 feet at Gloucester... 3.0 to 3.4
feet at Windmill Point and 3.0 to 3.4 feet at Lewisetta. These
levels will result in minor flooding.
Tidal anomalies will continue to drop later today... with no
additional flooding expected.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A coastal Flood Advisory indicates that onshore winds and tides
will combine to generate flooding of low areas along the shore.
