Dense Fog Advisory
Statement as of 9:06 PM EST on November 14, 2009
... Dense fog advisory in effect from 1 am to 8 am EST Sunday...
The National Weather Service in Sterling Virginia has issued a
dense fog advisory... which is in effect from 1 am to 8 am EST
Sunday.
A coastal low pressure system brought heavy rain to portions of
the middle Atlantic during the latter half of last
week... saturating the ground. With clear skies... cooler temperatures and
calm winds expected across the Shenandoah Valley and portions of
the eastern Panhandle of West Virginia... areas of dense fog will
develop after midnight.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A dense fog advisory means visibilities will frequently be
reduced to less than one quarter mile. If driving... slow
down... use your headlights... and leave plenty of distance ahead of
you.
