Flood Warning
Statement as of 5:31 PM EST on November 14, 2009
The Flood Warning continues for
the Nottoway River near Stony Creek
* until Monday morning... or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 4:30 PM Saturday the stage was 17.2 feet
* moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 15.0 feet
* forecast... the river is near its crest... which should be about 17.3
ft. The river will remain near crest until early afternoon Sunday
and then begin to fall. The river will fall below flood stage early
Monday morning.
This river level is comparable to a previous crest of 17.3 feet on
Apr 12 2003.
