... Coastal Flood Warning remains in effect until 1 PM EST this afternoon...
A coastal Flood Warning remains in effect until 1 PM EST this afternoon.
Strong north flow will continue to weaken today... but tidal anomalies will be slow to diminish... keeping the threat for moderate flooding through this morning's high tide cycle.
This mornings high tide cycles will occur at around 700 am EST at Gloucester... at 853 am EST at Windmill Point... and at 1139 am EST at Lewisetta. Water levels referenced to mean lower low water... are expected to reach 4.5 to 5.0 feet at Gloucester... and 3.3 to 3.8 feet at Windmill Point and Lewisetta. These values result in moderate flooding. Tidal anomalies will continue to trend down later this afternoon... but minor flooding will still be possible around the time of high tide later this evening and again Sunday morning.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A coastal Flood Warning means that flooding is occurring or imminent. Coastal residents in the warned area should be alert for rising water... and take appropriate action to protect life and property.
