Caswell... Rockingham... Stokes... Surry... Watauga... Wilkes and
Yadkin. In Virginia... Carroll... Charlotte... Floyd... Franklin...
Grayson... Halifax... Henry... Patrick and Pittsylvania.
* Through late Wednesday night
* periods of heavy rain are expected beginning tonight... and
lasting into Wednesday night. Total rainfall amounts of 3.0 to
3.5 inches by 600 am Thursday morning are forecast.
* Heavy rainfall will cause flooding of creeks and small
streams... possibly beginning late tonight. If widespread
rainfall of over 3 inches does occur... then flooding of main
Stem rivers is also likely from later Wednesday through
Thursday. The rivers most likely to be affected would be the
new... Yadkin and Dan rivers.
