At 501 PM EDT...National Weather Service radar indicated a developing thunderstorm 3 miles southeast of Flintstone...moving east at 25 mph. Locations such as Long Meadow...Hagerstown and Williamsport will likely be affected through 630 PM EDT. Occasional cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this thunderstorm. In addition...heavy downpours may reduce visibility below a mile and cause ponding of water on roadways. If you are in the path of this storm...move indoors to protect yourself from lightning. Do not seek shelter under trees. They can be struck and carry the charge to you. Other showers are developing and will continue to develop over the northern Potomac Highlands and eastern West Virginia Panhandle through the afternoon.
