The Flood Watch continues for * portions of North Carolina and Virginia... including the following areas... in North Carolina... Bertie... Camden... Chowan... gates... Hertford... inland Currituck... Northampton NC... Outer Banks Currituck... Pasquotank and Perquimans. In Virginia... Brunswick... Charles City... Chesapeake... Dinwiddie... Gloucester... Greensville... Isle of Wight... James City... Lunenburg... Mathews... Mecklenburg... Newport News/Hampton... Norfolk/Portsmouth... Northampton VA... Nottoway... Prince Edward... Prince George... Southampton... Suffolk... Surry... Sussex... Virginia Beach and York. * From 6 am EST Wednesday through Thursday afternoon * periods of heavy rain are expected beginning Veterans Day... and lasting into Thursday. Total rainfall amounts of 4 to 6 inches are anticipated through 600 PM Thursday evening... with locally higher amounts possible. * Periods of heavy rainfall may cause flooding of creeks and small streams Wednesday through Thursday.
