* At 703 PM EST... numerous roads remain closed due to flooding and
many streams remain above bankfull.

The rain has ended across the area... but expect flooding to continue
through the evening. Creeks and streams should begin to recede into
their banks after midnight... but standing water will still remain.

Those living along creeks... streams and rivers should monitor water
levels... and take necessary precautions immediately.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Many roads across the Roanoke and New River valley remain closed due
to high water. Do not cross any barricades or flooded roads. Turn
around... dont drown.
