Flood Warning
Statement as of 3:21 PM EST on November 15, 2009
... Flood Warning extended until late Monday night... the Flood Warning
continues for
the Appomattox river at Mattoax
* until late Monday night... or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 3:00 PM Sunday the stage was 23.6 feet
* minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 21.0 feet
* forecast... the river will continue rising to near 23.9 feet by
tonight. The river will fall below flood stage tomorrow evening.
* At 25.0 feet... agricultural and some secondary roads flooded.
This river level is comparable to a previous crest of 23.7 feet on
Jan 5 2007.
