Flood Warning extended until this evening... the Flood Warning continues for the Nottoway River at Rawlings * until this evening... or until the warning is cancelled. * At 5:30 am Saturday the stage was 11.3 feet * minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * Flood stage is 10.0 feet this river level is comparable to a previous crest of 11.1 feet on Dec 13 2008. 558 am EST Sat Nov 14 2009 The Flood Warning continues for the Appomattox river at Matoaca * until late tonight... or until the warning is cancelled. * At 5:00 am Saturday the stage was 9.4 feet * minor flooding is forecast. * Flood stage is 10.0 feet * forecast... the river is expected to rise to near flood stage this evening. * At 10.0 feet... minor flooding begins. Canal begins to overflow along the right bank. This river level is comparable to a previous crest of 10.3 feet on Nov 17 2006.
