* Heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small creeks and streams... possibly beginning this afternoon. If widespread rainfall of over 3 inches does occur... then flooding of main Stem rivers is also likely from later today through Thursday. The rivers most likely to be affected would be the new... Yadkin and Dan rivers.

The National Weather Service in Blacksburg has issued a Wind Advisory... which is in effect from noon today to 6 am EST Thursday.
Expect north to northeast wind at 15 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph. The wet soil conditions will make trees more prone to being blown down.
