The northern edge of a shield of rain will slowly creep northward...a line from Staunton to Culpeper to Waldorf at 12:30 am... to a line from Annapolis to Washington DC to Luray by 4am. By then rainfall tallies along the southern extent of this zone will range between one and two tenths of an inch. Enough rain will fall in Annapolis...Metro DC...the northern foothills... and in the Shenandoah Valley between Harrisonburg and Winchester to wet the pavement for the morning commute.
