The National Weather Service in Baltimore MD/Washington has issued a coastal Flood Watch... which is in effect from Friday morning through late Friday night.
A low pressure area off the North Carolina coast will reside over roughly the same area for the latter half of this week. Gusty northeasterly winds will push across the Chesapeake Bay and tidal Potomac waters through this period. Effects from the strengthening low will bring heightened water levels by early Friday... with minor flooding expected and moderate flooding possible during times of high tide on Friday afternoon and into Saturday... depending of the track and strength of the low as the weekend approaches.
